A screen and recoat lightly abrades an existing compatible finish before a fresh polyurethane coat is applied. This is different from full sanding and restaining. Deep scratches, exposed wood, incompatible coatings and a desired color change require a separate assessment; cleaning or recoating cannot correct every kind of damage.

Is Screen And Recoat The Same As Sanding And Refinishing?
No. Screen and recoat renews a compatible existing finish. Sanding removes finish and wood at a deeper level and may be needed for a color change or substantial damage. We assess which approach is appropriate before defining the work.
Can Cleaning Fix A Cloudy Hardwood Floor?
It may help when the cloudiness is caused by residue or removable polish. If the finish itself is worn or damaged, cleaning alone may not restore its appearance. Tell us which products have been used.
